Adding an Adobe Premiere Pro glitch effect to a video project is a good way to enhance your storytelling, add an artistic touch, or create an effective transition. It’s also a great effect to use as it leaves a lot of room for creativity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How to make the glitch effect<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

You can add a Premiere glitch effect to your video in just 4 steps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Select your clip<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Import your selected video footage into Adobe Premiere Pro and drop it onto the timeline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Split the clip<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Select the \u201cRazor\u201d tool on the left side of your timeline and hover over your video to \u201csplit\u201d your <\/p>\n\n\n\n

clips. Then drag the clips apart, leaving a small gap between them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Copy the clips<\/h3><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Select the split-apart clips and copy and paste them onto the V2 video track above the original. This creates a duplicate layer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. Use Effect Controls<\/h3><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Select the first split clip. Then navigate to the \u201cEffects Controls\u201d panel. If you don\u2019t see the panel on your screen, go to the top navigation bar in Premiere Pro and select Window, then choose Effects Controls from the drop down menu. Once you have the panel open, adjust the Opacity value to 50%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
